My local Benchmade dealer got some new blades in. I tried the following:

530:

Didn't care for that one at all. Super slim knife. It was kind of hard to work the axis.

Volli:

A really excellent knife. This knife has never done anything for me while looking at pictures online. In hand it was comfortable and solid feeling and the geometry of the blade made for a great slicer. I was really tempted by this one but I don't like A/O knives.

Torrent:

Cool knife. Wasn't a fan of the A/O but Benchmade seems to do liner locks really well.

Impel:

Really cool little blade.

I handled several others that I have handled before. I need to get some pics the next time I'm in there of their inventory. I ended up walking out of the store with a Grip and Mini Grip.

Great choice,a BM classic.A great upgrade would be some G-10 or carbon fiber handle scales by Igor.Have a pair on my ritter...totally worth the money

Well done.

It really is a blessing to be able to walk into a place and handle these pieces. Just like you experienced, some that look great won't quite "fit", and others you hadn't considered jump right up and beg to be taken home.

One of our vacation spots has a BM dealer, and it's always a must-stop when we get to town.
