Many of us get our collectable Bucks from clandestine top-secret sources...
or off a yard sale table…
But on our New Buck Knives ...
were do you get them or were would you prefer to get them..
I have been buying a few new ones form the BCCI so i voted that one
you can vote twice- were you do get them and were you prefer to get them
I hear of some of you going many different places
and I jest wandered were and why?

Right now, I'd prefer to get my new Buck back from Buck's warranty service . . .

That's funny... :D

And sad... :(

I've gotten many Bucks (more than 10) from WallyWorld or K-Whopper, but my serious accumulators came from e-sites or reputable eBay sellers... :)

The three BCCI knives I've bought were all big disappointments, and have been sold off...None of the BCCI offerings lately have been of any interest to me...

In the past, I bought them from stores. I have also bought some of the BCCI offerings but since I prefer the older knives, mostly get them from flea markets(if the price is right of course):D

Peter

I prefer to get them from Larry Oden or fellow BCCI members, but I sometimes get them from online sources...
Local stores near me carry well, not much!

i have shoped at bass pro and gander mont..
not found any there i wanted... :(
wally has had the one tin buck and i found a nickel like that
i also look at yard sales
but mostly i get the old ones from internet...
i will say once i found some nice 560's at a pawn shop!!!:D
looks like internet is ahead by a head!;)

Which given the amount of information and # of places to buy, it really isnt a surprise. I can think of over a dozen online stores to buy from while, not one actual store around here. (unless its imported knives or standard, No custom shops or LE knives)

Well Dave I have gotten some from W.M. and The Army & Navey stores.
But I like to get them from People like WH4f,Scott,Goose, and the guys here on the Buck fourm.
Thanks Guys
Jeff

i have shoped at bass pro and gander mont..

I posted a story about my local Gander Mountain experience...They have a large knife section in their Tonawanda store...In a nutshell, they treated me like crap...and their prices were no better than anywhere else...

I voted with my feet on that poll... ;)

I guess that I should have tossed a vote for the Buck website as well, due to the customs that I have purchased.

My first choice is to pick 'em up at the factory in Post Falls. Think I'll get some stockman slipjoint knives next time I'm over there. (Have family that live about a half hour away from the Buck factory). - - -

I would like to see the BUCK Knife display and sales returned to the local feed and seed store as well as the local hardware store. Sadly they have been replaced with what they think I want rather than what I want to buy. So for the really good stuff I vote for Larry! And for the rest it goes to the net with the exception of the WW tin.

Where do I get my Bucks? Well, duh, by the handles. Dem blades be sharp!

Okay, how do I acquire them? I am a knife-slut... any and every where I find them.

I'd buy them locally from a ma-pa store, if such still existed. Reality slurps.

like hay man goes dito for me....

well the results are ... so far the internet wins..
but i must say i enjoyed buck hunting at the SVKC show this past week end!

I think we should all read this again... ... Just 6 voted for the custom shop...

I think we need to vote again.... :D:cool::D

yep but not now...
i posted the poll with
were do you get them or were would you prefer to get them..
i did not clearify that enught so it as i should not have listed a choice of
were do OR perfer in the same poll
i my self would have perfered the custom shop but i am on dissability and can not afforde to buy there a lot... mostly i get from the club.. knolage i did not have then is that the
club knives are made on the same cell line as customs..
so basicly they are one and the same... so for purposes of what the discusson on the thread on the custom shop this can not apply as raw data... as the questions i framed were flawed in light of new information i recived later... additonaly i did not allow sepreation of every day use or collectables in the poll ... so again data is flawed....
my main intress was how many order form the club...note the type style on that is diff...

FYI: from "sorces" i found that there are an avage of 10 or so customs a week come in ...but not broke down to: phone , walk in , or website.. or as alphas or 110's

Hey guys, I just purchased a 805 LE from one of my Honey Hole Knife Stores. Its new and not a bad price. Somebody took some time to mirror polish S30V. DM
