Ethan and Moose I hope it is alright posting these here. I know you guys are more about survival skills than knives and we want to share the class with the outdoors community. Feel free to move or erase if you need to.

Back from our training class.

The Terrain was…

We had rain, hail, wind, mist, snow, heavy fog, and a little bit of sunshine.

This was a “hands on” class all about the basics of survival. Every aspect of the class was taught outdoors in less than ideal weather conditions, but the best of spirits.

Skills
After a first aid discussion we got right to work with knife safety and use.
Reza showed how to do small knife work with a big blade and I did the small knife.

Man that looks awesome. I'm speechless and weeping because I didn't go

AWESOME!!!!!

I'm happy. You happy? Looks like you had just enough students to make a good close up class, and that, is a good thing.

So which steakhouse did you and Reza go eat at while everyone else froze and dealt with hunger?:D

Bum camp, bitches. :D

Moose

that's awesome.
What's a 'rabbit stick'?
From my experience the only warm-blooded critter available for snacking in the woods is a frickin' squirrel. I'd love rabbit.

it's okay with me too ;) send me a knife...

don't know about guyon, you'll have to ask ;D

Could someone tell me name of the knife under the figure 4 deadfall trap. That handle extension is exactly what I am looking for.

sweetness! looking forward to a north-east class someday. reuben, you mentioned you have a brother living near me previously. harriman is just across the border from us and a perfect spot to hold a winter class. all i need is a month's notice to bury spam and booze all over the likely places and i'm game for one of the esee courses here :D

looks like an awesome time had by all!

I didn't know you could chop trees down in wilderness areas in socal. Could u give more info about the rules? For some reason I thought you could only gather wood from downed trees. thanks

Sorry been away.
I think it is the HEFT Woodsman from DPx. I am not reviewing it, Reza is.

Chop all you want, don't let the man catch you or they will make a sound like this "boo boo bee boo, someone cut a tree!"

Pretty sure it is the HEFT with a 6" blade.
