This could be a good deal for someone on the west coast. Of course it will go up but maybe not much and someone can get a could deal. If it is 4" like they say it is then it takes big long belts. Wish I was a lot closer, I wouldn't mind having that thing for flattening stuff and handle stuff and just stuff.

They say it was designed for glass. Many of those were wet-well grinders. If that's what that is it would be a helluva find. I ground glass on one and it used approx. 108" belts. Sloppy, but cooool.....
 
I was looking on the bay and it looks like 4"x132" is a fairly common belt size so maybe that is what this one is? It will probably go sky high but you never know. Seems like auctions like this with so little info the prices stay lower.
Well, back to the lathe. I am making a tool for my muzzle loader. :D
