West of Kathmandu

I am having a hard time catching up on posting my 1000 pix from Feb. journey to Nepal but here are a couple more taken on the trip to Manakamana. We will get there sooner or later -- mostly later.

Top -- Trisuli River and THE east west road.

Bottom -- deforestation continues to be a major problem in the Himalayas of Nepal.

Uncle, what is the average elevation in Kathmandu and environs?

Kathmandu is about the same as Reno, about 4500 feet. The elevation where these pix were taken is lower -- maybe 2500 or 3000.
