Was wondering if anyone knows what type of knife this is. I came across it in a thrift store and just want more information as I have never seen a blade quite like this. Sounds like Wester Bros was predominately know for razors and pocket knives but I have not be able to find any information on their larger kitchen style knives. Any info would be greatly appreciate.

Butcher's Cimeter knife. Used for making steaks, etc..... Anything where a long sweeping cut is needed.

Thank tltt! Do you happen to know where I could find information on wester bros? I am only able to find limited tid bits here and there about them and it's mainly about their razors.

No sorry, their main business was razors, and that's what people have concentrated on. I think Voyles has a bit of their old pocket knife catalog reprinted in his book "Antique Knives", but I've never seen anything on the butcher / kitchen side.
