Hello, I'm looking for any information about a nice little knife I picked up recently.
Specs:
Brown pick bone scales ( I think bone)
3" closed. Small square bolster stock pattern
Slender clip, sheepsfoot, and pen blades in carbon steel (blades have a little pepper)
Tang reads: WESTERN/U.S.A.

Reverse is: 445

Attached is the only picture I have. Sorry.

Was this made by Camillus?

Any help appreciated.

Bill

Thank you for a prompt reply.
Any guess as to who might have or about when?
If not, maybe someone else knows. Or I guess I could try BRL's forum.

Thank you,
Bill

Bill, While I look through my references, here's one way to at least date your knife: Was for sure a real Western, not a Camillus.

Thank you Phil.
I think I saw that page in Houston's guide, as well, but couldn't find a 3 digit pattern to match. So I thought I'd try the folks here at Camillus.

The exactly 3" size is throwing me a bit as well. I googled it, but nothing good came up. I have a couple of fixed blades, but they have the date code shown in the thumbnail you posted. I don't think this knife is real old, just nice, but confusing.
Anything you find would be appreciated, as always.

Bill
