I just picked up a Western Brand Bowie from a Pawn Shop. The only reason that It attracted me was that the Manufacturers markings are on the blade side of the brass handgaurd. One side has: "Western Boulder Cola, USA"
The other side just has "Bowie" inscribed. These are the only markings on the Knife. The Grips are made out of Walnut and have a better fit and finnish without any square edges. It is the same knife as the more modern W49 pattern that I have.
Anyone know how old it is?

Come on someone has to have a book about Western brand Knives out there that can help me identify this blade.
