I have a Western Bowie that is marked on the blade Western
Bowie
U.S.A.

The knife was given to be by my team leader in Viet Nam in 1968,
Can you tell me how old or what year it was made. Any information would be greatly appreciated. There are no other markings on the knife.

Thanks for the information. I found the info I was looking for. The knife
was made from 1966 to 1974. I got the knife in viet nam from my team leader
in 1968. We were at the Special Forces camp at Khe Sanh.
