Let's try again.
I have a Western Cutlery hand axe with a grip of alternating silver (aluminum?) and black washers or bands. That is mounted to an I-beam that is integral to the head of the axe.
I have been told it is a 1950-60's product, that knives were made by Western with the same handle, and that there were possibly axe/knife combos in this style.
I spent lots of hours on Google trying to find out more, and a fellow forumite has done the same -- with zip results.
Can anyone add any informatino on this axe?
Tom
