Let's try again.

I have a Western Cutlery hand axe with a grip of alternating silver (aluminum?) and black washers or bands. That is mounted to an I-beam that is integral to the head of the axe.

I have been told it is a 1950-60's product, that knives were made by Western with the same handle, and that there were possibly axe/knife combos in this style.

I spent lots of hours on Google trying to find out more, and a fellow forumite has done the same -- with zip results.

Can anyone add any informatino on this axe?

Tom

Thanks for the help. The third link shows the axe in question -- and, sure enough, the matching knife. Now, if we just could find out when these were made.

Did you try posting in the Camillus forum (since they now own Western) maybe some one there could help.
