Howdy!

I just picked up a Western Cutlery BC 85 Hunter model.

I am wondering if someone can inform me of the history of the knife, and any other blade shapes that may have been available.

It has a...

- Nylon over Leather sheath, integral belt loop.
- It is fixed in the sheath via a snap, one part of which is in the sheath, the other part of which is in the handle.

All I know is that Camillus bought Western Cutlery of Boulder Colorado in 1991. Is the knife marked "Boulder"?

Hey Jeff,

Thanks for the reply.

It is not marked Boulder, in fact, the knife itself, is without identification.

The sheath simply says "Western" with a sword for the 't' with a sideways diamond around the name. Under that it says "Made in U.S.A.". And the snap that holds the knife in, says "Blackie Collins Design".

I'll move this thread to the Camillus forum for you. The Camillus people can often be helpful even about Western knives that predate the buyout.
