Western Cutlery

I bought a knife at a garage sale a few years ago for 5 bucks because it really caught my eye i just now tried researching it. Its a Western cutlery knife still with its original leather case. ive been seeing alot just like mine with the case going on ebay for 75$ but the numbers on theirs are I66 mark b. mine is the I66 mark I. If anyone has info about the "I" i would like to know. if it is more rare or a less rare style of knife.

That's Probably an "L" not an "I". L for leather handle, 66 for the blade pattern and B for 1978 I for 1985. There were lots of them made as it was one of the more popular models. Prices will vary based on both knife and sheath. I've gotten some for as little as $3 (more for shipping) and I've seen'em go for much higher.
