This is a simple question for hunters and people in the bush. Which of these two do you perfer or any similar to these? The Cabelas 10inch Handmade Stag Handled Knife, or the Camillus 9 inch western bowie? please respond positively.

something with a western look like a bowie. I ordered a trailmaster at knife outlet and it did not come in and I ordered it around july. Some guys on here said that the trailmaster is out till December because the steel is in such high demand or something like that. Sounds strange...........

I have the Western bowie. I haven't used it alot, but it's fun to use when I do use it.

If the Cabela's knife is the one I'm thinking of, that would be the stag handled model with a blade made from an old sawmill's saw blade. Those old sawmill blades used to be made from L-6 . L-6 is one seriously tough steel that makes for a serious use blade.

The Western Bowie has a Roesewood handle and 440-A steel in the blade, IIRC.

My choice would be clear here. Hello? Cabela's?
