Western Knife Pics

Here are the pics of the 2 Western Knives I just bought. I still would like to find out what the D stands for W49 ~ D on the bowie is it an indication when it was made? and approximately how old they are. The other knife is a L46-8 the link for the pic is:

Nice knives. I really like that bowie. I dont know what the D stands for, but you might try asking in the Bernard Levine section or posiibly the Camillus section....might get a faster answer there if for some reason you dont get one here.

Nice looking Westerns you have there. I am not sure about the "D" on your knife, and I went to look at my W49 and it has an "H" stamped on it. If I can remember right I bought this knife around 1985 or 86'.
