Western Knife restoration

Hello Board. New member here. On the Camillus Board i asked about restoring a Western Hunter vintage 1950s. Sentimental reasons for me regarding the restoration. The leather pieces in the handle have dried out and are falling apart. Would like to have it restored or I am thinking I may be able to do this myself(?) but need a source for the leather pieces. These are similar to a leather washer but in the shape of an H. Blue Sky suggested I mention this here and see if you folks have any thoughts. Thanks for the help, AZ

Somebody had a Kabar restored.Search the forum for that and you'll get lots of ideas.

Try a shoemaker for the leather, ask for sole leather,you will have to cut the shape yourself. Lots of info if you search, its a job you can do yourself or you can farm it out.
