Would like comments on Western Knives are they a very good collectable ?

I have (I think) 8 Western fixed blades. Will be adding more as time goes by. I think they make a great collectable.

If you watch the bidding on Western andWestmark knives on EBay you will see that people are collecting the knives. I have an almost complete collection of "W" (wood) series Western knives. I am missing a W82 and a W46-8. I have two Westmark knives a 701 and 702.

I have a few Westerns myself, a folding hunter, a 71 (pre-77) fixed blade, and an older utility/camp knife. Westerns on eBay catch my eye whenever I see one listed.

Are they a "very good collectible"? Depends on why and what you are collecting for. Is it for the next great investment or because you like the knives they made and the related history? If the later, then for you, and many others, they are an excellent collectible. If you are looking at them primarily as investment tools I would have to say, NOPE! Go Away! You don't really want those. Leave them for the folks who enjoy them for what they to get at a reasonable price. ;)
