Anyone ever see a ABG before?

The dude had it listed under Sporting goods > Hunting > Knives

The address in the stamp indicates production before Western moved to Longmont, which was in 1978. The company became Coleman-Western in 1984. In 1991, Camillus bought Western Cutlery.

Now the guess...

It might be an identifier for a special factory order customer such as ABG, Inc.

Or it might have designated some special construction features.

Hopefully someone better versed in Western Cutlery nomenclature will come along.

The stamping may indicate a model #L48A with a blood groove (BG). This knife was made before 1977 since it does not have a date stamp (A=1977, B=1978, etc.).

I wonder what other models I need for my BG series now!!!??? :eek:
