Western L66 with Bakelite handle

Does anyone have any information about this L66? I’ve only seen one with a Bakelite pommel before and it was a wood handled knife in another thread. I haven’t seen any mention of L66 with this pommel. Thanks in advance!

Western made a lot with Bakelite. Some even had Bakelite guards. This was to my knowledge just for cost reduction. The military ones I’ve seen and own all have metal guards and pommels.
