I'm getting a western style holster and belt http://www.tombstonegunleather.com/TL_07.html (the crossdraw rig) and need a good knife to complete the rig. I'll be getting the sheath made the same time as the rig so everything will blend in togeather. The knife needs to be somthing under $150 and a good solid camp knife.

What do you suggest for knives???

Shrike, looks like a very nice rig, you've got a lot of choices in the $150 price range. Can we get some more info as to what you're looking for; handle material, blade length and shape or have you seen anything close to what you're looking for?

I'll be carrying a S&W 629 44mag while out camping, 4 wheeling, hunting and who knows what else.

I'm looking for somthing shorter than 7" that won't rust to bad when exposed to rain, snow or any other crapy weather. I'm semi partial to the clip point. As far as handles go I'm open to anything and everything that will look good and be comfortable when using.

I'm mainly looking for a good looking functional knife and open to any and all ideas.

Phil, the link does not work.

Ok, so I really want a Bowe to ballance out the 44 mag

The Holly Knives look extremly good, How do they perform????

Try it again it works, it's a little slow to load, but I just tried it.

The Holly knives are made to be working knives. I have several bowies and one more on the way and I haven't really used any of them yet. I also have a small drop-point that I use on birds and small game and haven't had to sharpen it yet. Have done several rabbits and squirrels and a few snow geese. I like the knives. Whether I will actually use all my bowies as camp knives, probably not but I will surely use at least a couple of them. I think the Mr. Miller does a job worth more than he charges. Also, before I bought my first one from him I asked about return policy, etc. He replied that he has never had one returned but if I didn't like what he made he would either make another one to replace it or give a refund. I am sure you won't have any problem with the service or the quality.
