Hey guys,

I have a customer who wants to pay with Western Union or Money Gram, and he is overseas....

I have never worked either, in this sort of a situation, anything I should watch out for?

Kind Regards,
Marion

Marion,
Having sent funds by W/U to Austrailia I know that sometimes there can be some hefty fees that the person cashing a money order from out of country would have to pay. I ended up wiring the money through Western Union to the guy I was purchasing the sword from. That way I (the sender) had to pay the fees. In either case you should be safe from the customer "playing any games" with the transfer.
Good Luck,
Kevin

I don't think there should be any issues when you receive money.
I would charge before hand if the buyer doesn't have enough credentials.
However, when you sent money you can get scammed.
I have a friend who answered an ad and sent $3000 down payment for a flat rental in London back in 2008. She lost those money. Nothing her US Bank or Western Union could do about it.
