Hi All,

Just won a 3 knife set on Ebay for cheap. Figured I'd use them to practice sharpening. They are Westminster High Carbon kitchen knives. I am unable to find any info on the internet about the company's history.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Westminster? Low grade stuff Made in China most likely.
Still they should be alright to practice your sharpening with.

Thanks for the info. It was a 3 knife deal for $15, so no biggie. I also won a vintage Chicago Cutlery chef's knife for $9. It's actually quite addicting.

I have an Old Hickory chef that I absolutely love. Cheap, but a great worker.

Regards

LOL. I hate to keep this thread alive, but the blades are stamped Japan.... is that better than China?

Don't know if it is better in your case, but given a choice between the two, I would choose a Japan knife over the China knife unless it was commissioned by a well respected manufacturer in the U.S.

Blessings,

Omar
