Wet hike with crazy Stewie !

Typical West coast day today, started the hike in light rain, hiked some in blazing sunshine and finished in a torrential downpour with cold winds !
For the record I wore my Swanndri Ranger shirt with a wicking t shirt underneath and when I arrived home my t shirt was totally dry....gotta love them Swannies !

It rained as we made the climb up through the forest to the view point but luckily for us the sun came out giving us some great views when we reached the top !

You can tell in this pic how much rain we've had, the fields in the foreground are all flooded and look like little lakes !

That is one beautiful place.(Stewie on the other hand is another story.)
 
Hey, cool post and typical day this time of year indeed. Up here we just got over a four day stretch of constant torrential rain, it was brutal.

I have lived on the island my whole life, and whenever I see some of your pictures I try to determine your approximate location, still havent got it yet, must be South Island somewhere. No I'm not a stalker, just curious!

It's beautiful there. Maisy looks like my sisters old Snooker dog. And your pictures make me want to be anywhere there is still some greenery. In Illinois...It's cold and white and frozen all over. And did I mention cold?

Just wet and miserable here, what temps have you got in Illinois ?

I could have killed her today Dennis, she took off chasing some scent and no matter how much I whistled or shouted she wouldn't come back.
Without any distractions she is pretty obedient and quite smart but once she see's or smells a critter it's game over, she knows it's wrong but it's as if she can't control herself !:mad:
