Not very often I wear a waterproof jacket, I can't stand them, but today I had to dig one of mine out as I knew the rain was in for the day !

It didn't seem to bother Maisy and Snicker though......

And these guys were everywhere, they loved the wet weather......

I noticed today that the Salmon berries are starting to appear, I can't wait for berry season !!!!
The young tender shoots of these were a part of the diet of many northwestern indian tribes. I've heard that they taste good chopped and sauteed in butter, think I'll stick to the berries for now !

I also came across these, I'm not too hot on Fungi and only know a few, these looked like Oyster mushrooms but maybe someone can tell me otherwise ?

With it being so wet I'd planned on seeing if a ranger band would burn long enough in the rain to ignite some fatwood. I used my JK to chop up some fatwood and then realised that the ranger band had vanished from my pocket......note to self, be more prepered next time !!!!!

Spent a little time watching a seal, not sure if you can see him in the distance, before setting off back !

I love walking in the rain! Back when my black Lab Bo was still with us, we would go out in the rain, he loved it! I need to see how Maggie takes to it.

Cute little slugs you get up there. The ones here can walk away with your car.
Great pics. That little bit of rain is what keeps the great Northwest great. Enjoy it!

Yeah if you like summer, you better hurry out this direction, we often have 4 months or less between freeze ups. We are going to have a hard frost tonight, like 25 degrees. We will have hard frost in September again.
