Not very often I wear a waterproof jacket, I can't stand them, but today I had to dig one of mine out as I knew the rain was in for the day !
It didn't seem to bother Maisy and Snicker though......
And these guys were everywhere, they loved the wet weather......
I noticed today that the Salmon berries are starting to appear, I can't wait for berry season !!!!
The young tender shoots of these were a part of the diet of many northwestern indian tribes. I've heard that they taste good chopped and sauteed in butter, think I'll stick to the berries for now !
I also came across these, I'm not too hot on Fungi and only know a few, these looked like Oyster mushrooms but maybe someone can tell me otherwise ?
With it being so wet I'd planned on seeing if a ranger band would burn long enough in the rain to ignite some fatwood. I used my JK to chop up some fatwood and then realised that the ranger band had vanished from my pocket......note to self, be more prepered next time !!!!!
Spent a little time watching a seal, not sure if you can see him in the distance, before setting off back !
