Wetstone sharpening set suggestions?

OK I've got a sharpmaker that I've had for over ten years, and I can get a blade sharp enough to shave hair off my arms and cut paper without pulling,(just like anyone who has two brain cells to rub together) but I would like to learn how to sharpen knives "scary sharp". I think I need some wetstones. What suggestions do some of you have? I think I will need at least 3 stones of differing grit.
Any suggestions appreciated.

not sure if you are wanting something like japanese water stones or not, but have you looked at the edge pro apex?
