Can anyone give me history info on a Wetterlings Boys Axe? I Wasn't aware Wetterlings made these. It's a 2.5 - 3.0 lb head. Was painted blue.

How old do you think it is? Did they stop producing these snd when? Quality? etc....

Thanks For any info and insight.

My experience with Swede axes, that have n. American profiles, is from the 1960s-70s. At the time they were lower cost alternatives to domestic-made axes. Swede-made stuff then did not have the fashion cachet nor brand recognition they have now. But what you can be sure of is the quality of manufacture, and the excellent steel.

What 300Six said.

BTW, nice find. You don't see too many of those.
