wetterlings carpenter

Since i didn't get any response in the flea market thread,i will ask again.I picked up a like new Wetterlings carpenter hatchet on the 127 yard sale on Thursday,but the fact i can't see a head stamp on it,puzzles me.I did see one for sale on Ebay from a reputable dealer that also looked like the head was absent of a makers stamp,so can anyone enlighten me on this?Oh yeah it cost me a grand total of 20 bucks!

My father just gave me a weterlings carpenters axe that is a few years old and it also has no mark on the head. For what it's worth.
