The 2012 Wetterlings Swedish Forest Axe is actually quite a bit heavier than the Gransfors (about 10 ounces heavier if I recall). So it's almost an entirely different axe. If you're looking for something to carry on a backpack, the Gransfors is the better choice. The Wetterlings is better around camp, as aside from being heavier, it also has a thicker profile and is better for splitting.
