Did the price of Wetterlings axes just about double recently, or is that my imagination?

They have skyrocketed in the past 3 years. The deals now are the "Husqvarna" labeled Hults Bruks axes.

X 2. I have a Husky hatchet (Hults Bruks) and it's awesome, especially for less than 1/2 the price of a comparable Wetterlings these days.

I have the Huqvarna 26" Multipurpose axe but have not worked it much yet. The handle is kind of fat but in limited use, I am finding that I like it. Edge is true and sharp. Nice tool.

I use my 19 GB for small stuff and grab an old double bit with slim 24" handle for some chores. I need to put the Husky to more use.

I want the Wetterlings Les Stroud model but have not justified the $$ yet.

Bill -

Love to hear an update after you've used it a little more. I've been impressed enough with my 15" Husky hatchet that I'm close to pulling the trigger on the "multi-purpose" as well.

I understand that the earlier axes were subbed to Wetterlings but then Hults Bruks got the bid. Still a nice axe.
