Here is another interesting sword.. it is marked on the blade "Weyersberg Kirschbaum & E Solingen" It measures 27" in length. On the sides of the composite grip are the numbers 15B . 150 and then on the other side 61911. It has a mounting bracket so it can be placed on a rifle and used as a Bayonet as well. Here is the photo

The form is rather nicewith most of the weight placed in the grip.

She mentioned on another thread that they are from an estate sale she is handling IIRC.

Hi Merek,

yes, I had mentioned it straight up on several threads and it's in my bio. I had also e-mailed the admins. I work for an auction house in Florida. The items actually do really belong to a friend of mine who brought them in for me to investigate. They belonged to his father who was the collector and who has been deceased for several years.

I am a researcher, I do not own a store. Research is my passion and I am on many groups. I typically work with antiques, collectibles, antiquities, art. I also handle product photography for the catalog. I work with galleries, museums, other auction houses, stores and individuals and I network with everyone. Until I came here I didn't know much about items like these - Bayonets, Sabres... now it's a whole new insight into history from the perspective of the actual tools of war.

As far as collecting myself, I like the Damascus and Meteorite knives. I have a double edged Damascus blade dagger that was given to me by another friend and i'm always looking for another Damascus. I use pocket knives here at work. I like the hand made knives -I could spend alot of money there.

My personal website is listed on my tag line. I have also taught astronomy and still do workshops on it and digital photography locally. I didn't know if it would be appropiate to post my work URL so I didn't. I am looking to learn more about the items and their history which is important and interesting to me it's why I do research to begin with - to learn new things and it fits into my work. When I do go to yard sales, estate sales and other auctions on my own I will keep an eye out for knives.

If anyone has further questions I am easy to reach :)
I live and work online and yes, my office is full of sharp objects now. Each with a distinctive history and purpose. Everyone pretty much leaves me alone lately... and ooo I almost forgot I have a few Axes here too!

Axes???? I like axes......

I have a few here in my ofc... I'll post the picts over at the Axe side of the list. One is pretty wicked looking, has a sharp point on the other end. Ok, let me crank up the digital LOL. I found one of the Axes in my book, called a Head Axe. Will post to the Axe forum shortly what Axes I have. They do appear authentic ..
