Ray: Can you imagine the size of that suck?????? I bet Mace would want a piece of it if I had it to put on that knife for Mark.Raymond Richard said:Most likely its a seacow rib bone that was on steroids. I can understand the teeth thing but the bone seems to be taking it abit to far. Hope you don't have a whale turds but I would think they would at least come with paper...
I am going to send 2 1/2# of it out to Mike @ WSSI. I spoke to him today. It looks like I'll have to cut it into slabs onces I get it back. I have been wanting to do a coffin handle Bowie for a long time now.John Andrews said:George, I bet that bone looks really good. Is it acient bone? Like yours and my bones? What kind of a blade are you going to put it on, George?
George, Geno got ahold of some Stellar sea cow that was given to him from a customer who wanted a knife made out of it, it was ancient. Alot of super glue went into the pourous handle material and it worked out fine. It's been donated to the SC State Museum.indian george said:GrassHoppa scored one.
