Here is a couple of horrible macbook pics. I'll work on my skills someday!

This is the first of my slipjoint venture. I love this knife.

It's 3 inches closed 1095 Carbon. Northern lights Mother Of Brunswick (I can't remember who wrote that first but it cracks me up!)
It is shaving sharp out of the box. I can pinch open the wharncliff blade but the pen blade is a nailbuster!

Looks like a nicely shaped knife that would feel good in the hand as you use it. That's not a Wharncliffe blade though, it's a sheepsfoot master blade.

Thanks for the correction knifehead! I'm always trying to learn more about knives.
Does the bigger hump at the end make it a sheepshead?
What I mean is if it were more rounded at the end would it be a wharncliffe?

Thanks in advance!

The GEC 25's are awesome!!! I am always looking for the next one. Nice find! Heres what I have so far. The Blue Bone one is my favorite.:D

Sheepsfoot makes an abrupt 45 degree run towards the edge at the tip of the blade. A Wharncliffe profile is a more gradual curve from more than halfway from the tip of the blade. To make matters even more complicated, we could talk about a lambsfoot. :D

Thanks Knifehead!

Nice Pics and Knives Baba!

I am just getting into slipjoints. I can't wait to get some natural handle material knives. I'm just selling off some of my tacticals, so i can get some stag!

you all have very nice looking gec knives here. they have the appearance of a custom made slipjoint from my view. i would like to handle one for myself and plan to soon.

do they have a supeiror f&f and handle more like a custom knife or do they compare more like case knives, queen, boker and other similar production knives?

I don't have that No.25 Jack but I do have the Barlow version in stag. The finish is excellent, and although small it's a very sturdy and meaningful knife!

That Redbone Jack with Sheep-foot and bow-tie shield looks really alluring.

The acrylics that G.E. use are astounding, all the appeal of celluloid without its notorious drawbacks:D

For X-mas I got the banana peel bone #25 Wharncliff. Wow. It is not the most expensive traditional I own, but it is probably the best when it comes to FF. I love this stout little knife. The blades were razor sharp, strong backspring, everything matches up well. I've been carrying it since X-mas.

The only things I would change is to remove the large "1 of 50" on the main blade and I would thin out the handle just a little.

It will be a EDC, like most of my traditionals. After cutting up some oranges I little stropped and polished it, this has dulled the "1 of 50" and the "Northfield".... I'm glad about this.

Last year I got a Queen Classic Canoe which is also very nice. It helps to send spouses emails with links to Cumberland Knife links.

Pinetree, I LIKE the sound of that yellow bone, not seen this before, any chance of pix? Thanks:thumbup:

Nice! I think the next one I'm ordering will be a red bone with the sheepsfoot.

I agree about the 1 of 50 writing, but I love the tang stamps esp. the Cyclops Steel Works one. That old steel factory employed about have of Titusville, my home town.
