A wharncliffe is kind of like a pointy sheepsfoot blade....Like the CRK&T neck p.e.c.k.

To me, the Wharncliffe/sheepsfoot is one of the handiest blade shapes there is.

Win and Bo - very nice knives! I think for the vast majority of my daily tasks - opening mail and boxes, slicing open food wrappers, cutting out newspaper/magazine articles, etc. - the wharncliff is the perfect blade. It's also one of the most elegant blade shapes there is IMO.

Wharncliffe's have a straight edge and tapering point. (Sheepsfoot blades are more blunt at the tip.)
