I think that you either love this modified knife..... or you hate it on sight....and that's ok with me.
This knife has become a favourite of mine because of it's cutting efficiency and ergonomics.
I recently got back from a trip to Sardinia where I was staying aboard a boat and exploring the Island....on land and by sea.
Here is the good ship "Saltwater Gypsy"
I didn't use the knife for fire building as the Coast had very little on it to burn.
Typical tasks included food prep while out walking...
And food prep on board for the rest of the crew...
Here I have sliced up some dried Sus Scrofa (Wild Boar) with the modified Sus Scrofa.
Despite the fact that I used the knife every day for cutting up oranges at breakfast or cutting up raw meat for the ships BBQ... the knife showed no signs of patina or rust...
I didn't have to sharpen it at all...which was surprising..
It was a great trip and an interesting test of usefulness for a versatile and extremely high performance knife.
Cheers.
