Wharnecliffe White Owls & Conductors......

Hm... there I have to agree... I don´t own a white owl nether a Conductor (yet), but I think that would make a nice pattern... which beautiful horn or stag scales or ebony wood... a great knife for sunday afternoon coffee with your wife´s mom.

Something like that would be really great to own and use... :)

Kind regards
Andi

Andi, I completely agree. It would be something that none of the gals at work would take offense at. I would REALLY like one with pearl or abalone scales, it would be the perfect accompaniment when I renew my vows for my 25th this year. I guess I might have to get a Case or Queen if they won't oblige me.
BTW, Andi, my mom is from Schöningen. I would like to go back and visit, I haven't been since the 80's.

Yes... with pearl scales it would also looks pretty nice. As I can remember, Case has an Abalone Swayback Gent in stock... But this can also be from an older catalogue which is somewhere here in my house.

Schöningen is in Niedersachsen, on the border to Sachsen-Anhalt. I´ve just asked aunt wiki about that tow... nice old catholic church and a great looking market place. I haven´t been in this part of Germany yet. But it looks worth taking a trip there. Thank you for the advice :)

Kind regards
Andi

I saw the title of this thread and said, wow, really?! That would be perfect.

I have both knives, they are good for the office and don't scare anyone. Knives aren't politically correct in my line of work.

I agree. I'd love to see a Conductor and/or White Owl with a wharncliffe, or at least a straight edge blade! Closest I've come is a Schatt & Morgan Office Knife. I guess it has what I'd call a small sheepsfoot blade. Main blade is a spear - I'd prefer a clip blade for the main, though. Pics compare it to a Conductor and a White Owl.

I'm with you on that, Keith. Most of the time I can't even remember what I just said. :)
