This is the second knife I have done with a shield. I hate poorly fitted shields with ugly gaps so I had shields and routing templates made using spark erosion so its very precise. The shield fit is not perfect but you need a magnifier to see any gaps in the fit.

Nice knife. I like the lack of unnecessary nail Nick/pull since it is pinchable. Makes for a clean look and no fuss all action. Very well done!

That is very nice! Great job on the shield, nice blade shape, and I like the mill relieved liners too.

I really like the clean lines of the Shing knives I have seen. Unfortunately, I don't believe there are any distributors in the States.

Looks good to me, especially on light colored scales which will SCREAM out any imperfections in the shield placement and fit.

I think he's talking about an Electro Discharge Machining operation. Google EDM.

Between 1962 and 1964 I worked with one of the very first Electro Discharge machines in Vancouver BC. I think we called them Electron Erosion Machines in those days

Grand job on inletting the shield! I can think of many knives where this is not the case.....:grumpy:

The scales are a very nice choice too, aesthetics are a vital in the Traditional knife to my mind.:)

Nice looking knife! I haven't put any shields on my fixed up knives for the exact reason you speak of:)

I love singel blade wharncliffes and I love this knife! Very nice work sir! That sharpening notch really completes it in my opinion.
