What’s the difference between box markings

I have a Starmate on it’s way. I got it off of FleaBay.
I noticed the identification markings is different from the other Starmates that are also on FleaBay.
The first one (KL) is the one I’m getting.
The second one (FM) is one of the other two that have the same markings.
Is the one I’m getting legit?
What’s the differences mean?

That’s the date code. The first letter is the month the second is the year.

Also if you have a yellow label instead of white that means it’s a Spyderedge serrated model.

That’s the date code. The first letter is the month the second is the year.

The month is A-L for 01-12 (Jan-Dec).

And the year starts with A for 2001 thru Z for 2026.

Sal and Co. will have to decide what to do when 2027 comes around.
