A recent thread on the Buck 111 and the existence of a brass example left several folks wondering what the brass version would look like. It probably looks a lot like this Parker version. Seems as though Mr. Parker "borrowed" Buck's design in much the same way he borrowed lots of other designs. The banner is almost an exact copy, while the rest of the design is very similar. It just looks as though they mixed things up with the design elements a bit to make it just different enough.

Parker version.

Is that made by Parker Cutlery Company?

Where did you find such a knife?

Is that model rare?

When were they manufactured?

I see the number 713 and the word Japan on the blade. Are there more specific identifying characteristics of that knife that aren't shown in the photos?

Thank you kindly for showing us what a brass 111 Classic would look like. You are all right. Very good of you.

Parker had them contract-made in Japan like many of his other knives.

Everything he sold was rare...according to him!:D I think "hen's tooth" was a descriptive term he used a lot!

Seriously, this one probably is a bit scarce. I've seen and owned hundreds of different Parker models and had never seen this one before.

Anyone else know anything about this model?
