Well, I haven't been here in a few weeks and now that I'm back I can tell I won't be back for a long time to come. I frequented the For Sale forums and Wanted to Buy forums the most and now they are so difficult to navigate and use I will be going ewlsehwere for my knife needs.

I just spent over 5 minutes trying to post a Wanted to buy ad and I don't feel it's worth the effort. I had to re-register to use the new eclassifieds system (which sucks IMHO!!). I also noticed that in order to post a picture now you must PAY for it. Was this a problem in the past for BladeFourms? I know I posted pics for my For Sale ads, but didn't think it was an issue. Had I thought it would lead to the current system I never would have posted pics.....

I'm sorry, but this site has become too difficult to navigate and I feel I would be better served by going elsewhere. I'll miss the BladeFourms I loved reading/visiting for so long......

Sorry about your feelings, best of luck to you whereever you go.

The Want ads are extremely easy to use, and there are extensive help files as well... and just like anything, it takes some time to figure out how something operates.

Spark,

Okay, I'm going to give the new classifieds section a try as I like Bladeforums too much to give up now, but tell me if I'm reading wrong....

I tried to post a Pocket Hobbit on the classifieds boards and it looked like I had to pay to post an ad. Is this the case? I know I didn't have to pay for a WANTED ad, but unless I'm reading wrong I have to pay to post a FOR SALE ad. Please help clarify this for me. Thanks.......

Yes, you are correct. The For Sale ads do incur a small fee.

The Wanted Ads, Announcements, and Personal's are free... and we may put up a free "For Trade" section as well. As for the For Sale area's... well, we looked at the service and said, "What's the absolute lowest price that we can offer this for?" and settled on $1.49 for your very first 7 day ad, and $1.00 for every 7 day ad after that. Prices for the longer ads are low as well.

Something to keep in mind is that if we were really trying to empty your wallets, we wouldn't have such low prices - think about it - We've spent $60,000 on everything but labor thus far, and with 6000 + members, each member would have to take out 10 7 day ads to even begin to recoup those costs, and we know that's not likely to happen (60,000 ads and all)... It's just an extremely small fee to help us keep the site open.

Please let me know if you need any help or have any questions.
