Coming from Europe isn’t ideal for a Kershaw/ZT lover… a handful of sellers on eBay and very few internet dealers are all we have at hand in attempts to try and get some new stuff for the collection. Scoring nice rarities or making good bargains is rather hard, especially when some dealers can add as much as $58 in shipping for a $60 knife. Added tax and customs fees = expensive hobby for sure. Never the less, we do what we can and yesterday I came as close to knife Nirvana as I’ve been in a long time.
My brother has been over the pond for a month and brought back with him a parcel I had Kershawguy send him… As always from Dave, a great deal! Not only did I receive my requested knives;
NIB;
1880 Echelon
1870 Knockout
1760BRNCKT Skyline
Blems:
1670CF154 Blur
1910 RAM
ZT0350TS
He also sent me a 3120 Black Gulch as a gift! It’s a real treat of a knife and feels excellent in hand.

(Oddly enough I’ve been fondling the Black Gulch more than any of the other beauties… Makes one questioning the habbit of purchasing expensive “tactical/practical” stuff. )
However the story doesn’t end there. Before I sent my brother the stuff from KG, I got lucky on the exchange and found a 1760ORX Skyline for sale by someone willing to send it to international buyers. (A Canadian of course as US sellers like to use the word CONUS in almost all sales threads
) Destiny would have it so that it arrived in my mailbox approximately 1,5 hours before my brother came home! So out of the blue I suddenly had eight new KAI products in my possession, with two of them adding to my skyline collection making it complete with regards to handle colors!!!!
Gathered my skylines and the new arrivals for a group shot;

Lastly; about the blemished knives. The ZT had a Tiiiiiny little scratch on one of the tiger stripes that’s all. The blur had an equally sized ding on the front scale, almost impossible to detect. Thinking of these two blemishes…. Wow, KAI has some hardcore guidelines regarding perfection. (Not that I didn’t know that
) Lastly there’s the RAM, this one made me curious as it was obvious what the blemish was but, how did it come to be? Is there a version of the RAM out there that I just haven’t seen, with laser engraving on the scales?

I think I’ve seen this text/look before but I cannot recall if I’ve seen it on a knife or not… Suggestion as to what the text means or advertises? Which model? Etc… Google gave me noting, but then again my google-FU isn’t all that impressive.
Thank you KAI, forum and Dave for fueling the fire
