Sometimes you just have a nice day! First, I got calls from clients that were happy with my people. 
Second, I was digging around the "started it but didn't finish", knife box for some 440 Stainless (more on this rare event next) and found one of my old knives when I was making MONSTER (1/2" thick) Bowie's. I thought I had given them all away but this one still needs dome grinding!
THIRD and best....my wife gave me my fathers day present early. A brand new Kayak. I built them for a couple of years but never had a store bought one before.....
The saying used to be in the fiberglass days "use them on Sunday and fix them all week.
No more of that nonsense with my new 12 foot ABS Sea kayak.
OH....I have to make another boat knife now, that's the reason for the shiny stuff. Never know if you will be shipwrecked and have to make lures out of something!
