Yesterday I went to the mall with one of my friends and we stopped at a knife shop on the way out. The owner and I got into a conversation about Spyderco and Benchmade when he asked me what I carry as an EDC. I pulled out my small Sebenza and handed it to him. He looked at it and chuckled as he told me that he just saw Chris Reeve a few days ago and that enjoy pig hunting together.
Wow! What a suprise!
Then he asked me if I wanted to work at the shop.
Another suprise! I am only 16 and I thought you had to be older to work there. Not true.

Well, I walked out of there with an application and a huge smile:)

Sure beats my job in the toy dept. at Kmart!!!!

Way to go. Good luck, and try not to spend all of your paycheck on knives!

Man, to be 16 and working at a knife shop !!!

enjoy your life...just remember you might have to get another job to pay for all the cool toys you will HAVE to get at the knife store.

To be 16 and work in a knife shop nothing!! To be 16 and have a Sebenza :D :D :D

Good luck to you man, and don't go broke to fast

Thanks for all of the replys!
Actually, my Sebenza is the last knife I bought and that was about 7 months ago. All of the money I make at this job will go toward a car or college. Because of my sebby, I probably wont buy another knife for a few years!

I have a similar story.
I had just moved into town so naturally i emmediatly began searching around to see if Carson had a knife store.:D :D
I found one and i went in. I got talking with the owner(it's a one man shop) and after he found out that i knew more about knives that anyother teen in town, he hired me on the spot. I was really suprised because then I was only 13!!
Isn't BFC great:)

Similar story. I was out of work as I graduated from college in 1972. I happened to stop into Decker's Harley Davidson in Madison, Wisconsin to pick up some nuts and bolts for my Super Glide. Since I had plenty of time, I took a stool and let the owner's wife, Mary, wait on a customer ahead of me.

The guy wanted parts for a "mouse trap." Mary didn't know what that was. I told her it would be located in her parts book as a "clutch booster." After the guy left, she offered me a job part-time. It soon went to full time and I worked there for two years. Of course, even with the employee discount I probably bought more than I earned.
