I have been very fortunate this weekend. My Eric's jack showed up in the mail yesterday, and that alone was enough to put a wide grin on my face. Katie and I decided to hit a couple local antique malls in the area today, and the slipjoint fates smiled in my favor! I snagged a very large 2008 Schatt and Morgan sheepsfoot jack, and the most gorgeous (in my opinion) peanut I have ever laid eyes on! I haven't had a chance to look up any info on it yet, but here it is:

Look at that slender clip point!

Ok, do any of our resident peanut aficionados have any info on the little guy? Any ideas on date of manufacture?

This one might well boot my little Esquire out of my change pocket for a while!

Thanks for reading! I hope you all had a great weekend!

A Cattaragus peanut!! that is awesome!! I had the pleasure of working on a Cat jack for Barry, and I must say, I thought it was a beaut!

Hey Barry, ya know anything about this Cat peanut?

This is awesome peanut. I love the old and slender peanuts. Here is a small collection I had and sold few years ago, few of them not often seen

Thanks everyone! I've been on a bit of a hot streak the past few months with finding nice slipjoints at local shows and fleamarkets. I certainly hope my luck holds out, although I'm not sure how much more my bank account can take!

If your still curious search here for "fighting peanut". I haven't forgotten it because I look at it frequently. I have your exact model and carry it quite a bit. 1920s ish. A simply elegant cutter. Not the best slicer but the coolness saves the day. Mine is worn to Hell and back but I'll carry it until it needs to be retired. Cracks and all. One day I'll find one as nice as yours. I'd love a dark bone model. I'd carry it to my grave.
