A few months ago I sold a Queen #49. The other day I decided to get another one. So here it is.

As one who loves Queen's knives but also is very frustrated with the sometimes sloppy work I am quite pleased with my latest knife.
The F&F was pretty good. No glaring gaps in the springs. No wobble on any of the blades when open. The grinds are pretty good also. Sharp out of the box I would give the pull on all three blades a 5-6. Good snap going back in.

The only problem is with the shield. Seems to be sunk a little too low.

Not the sharpest picture. But you can see how low it is in the slab.
The thing that I've noticed and I could be wrong. Is that the blades are a little thinner than previous versions.
All in all a nice large stockman. You just gotta love that honey/amber bone!

Into the pocket this one goes:D

Wow, that's a beautiful knife. Is that the cattle king? I may have to get one! Glad to here bout the ff!

I have one of these (identical), and am equally impressed with it. The pull on the blades is about as ideal as any knife I own. Strong enough to inspire confidence it'll stay closed, and very smooth & easy on opening. These knives have a certain 'heft' and solid feel to them that feels great in the hand.

A Queen knife sharp out of the box? Maybe someone at the factory finally heard us all complaining :p. Good looking knife for sure .

Actually, I've had 3 Queen D2 knives, 2 slipjoints and a belt knife that were able to shave hair on arrival!

The ACSB is a very decent scale, grippy and will age nicely. It's good to hear this review, I've had some unacceptable shocks from Queen Cutlery which have annoyed me a lot, conversely, some of them are knives that I would never want to part with due to their excellence e.g. a Muskrat, Teardrop Liner lock, Teardrop, and Jack knife plus a Barehead belt knife that is a fine kitchen knife too.

Nice that its sharp but looking at the picture showing the main blade tip it has issues with angles of the edge the same way my #9 stockman had 6 years ago. Took serious work to get right as the D2 is hard and the bladestock behind à missangled edge gets thick.
