I feel the way many do about the S&W (Taylor Cutlery) line of knives, but I gotta tell you...Some of the new one's that are out now really surprized me. If they keep this up, they really will be on the quality level of CRKT...Which says alot!
The new H.R.T line is nice. just not for me though.
What really caught my attention was the frame locks, the 3300,3400 and 3500 series. I looked over quite a few and everyone had a great lock-up. They felt VERY solid and slim at the same time. The steel is 440C and the handle is aluminum. I couldnt choose which size I liked the best, so will think it over first for now...But I will pick one up next week.

If it means anything at all, keep in mind that my daily carry rotation is a large Sebenza, LCC or the Spyderco Viele...I couldnt believe I was checking out the S&W's myself!

Keith,
I looked over some of those. Probably the same ones you were looking at. I was shocked at how nice they were. Taylor even had a nice person working their booth at the Blade Show this year. I sense an ugly duckling desperately trying to turn into a swan.

I too am impressed with the H.R.T. series - great functioning and good looking knives for the price, definitely going head-to-head with CRKT. As Darrel said in one of his posts, Taylor is looking to turn things around as there is a changing of the guard at the company. Hopefully this maybe a sign of things to come? Time will tell!

Anyone know who's stocking the new H.R.T.'s? I'm trying to get one of the mag handled, 440C DDR small Mad Max wannabes. Taylor's site doesn't even show them.
