What a surprise!

After a particularly stressing day I decided to do something to relax and started unpacking my khuks to have them cleaned and oiled.
What a surprise I had when I found out I had 22 khuks under my bed! I though I had some 12-15 pieces!
Of these, there are 11 HI, 5 GH and 6 other older pieces.
Not bad for someone who only started seriously in khuk collecting in April, don't you think? Now Uncle Bill better come up with something new for me to add to this group soon! Not to mention my M43 and my 12" stag handled Ghopte, right, Uncle?
And, to boot, they make an impressive picture all set side by side.
 
Okay Ivan... no teasing! You have to post a picture after making a comment like that :D

I got email this AM that your Ghopte was in the air. Keep bugging me so I don't send it to the wrong nephew!!!

Wsih i could post the pic but I do not have a camera availabile at this moment. Sorry! I'll have them pictured as soon as I can, but can't say when will it be.
Good to hear that my ghopte is on the way, Uncle Bill - I think that little one will be a beauty!
 
What is a Ghopte? I can't find info or pixs on the FAQ or this site. Thanks,

Thanks for posting that pic. Very nice, How much do they cost? I really like the handle. The whole rig is really perty.

I can't remember much about that knife. Cost will depend on size and will be about the same as an AK of equal length.

I think Blues has a nice Ghopte in his collection, too. Can you show it, Blues?
 
I really like the look of the Ghopte and the BGRS (To me they apear to be very simaler). Can any one tell me which is better for general camp use and Brush clearing? Thanks,

Ivan,

You must have a lot of room under your bed. Also that many khukuri's will put a serious stain on your floor. Send some to me to reduce the weight load on your floor.

Thanks for your sincere offer of help, Will, but there is still room for three times that number under my bed, not to mention the other bed in my room...
As a matter of fact, I am thinking seriously into renting some space and turning these beds into "khukuris parking lots". What do you think? Hehehe...
 
Khukuri parking lot. I like that! And one more should be headed your way soon, Ivan. I just hope they got the stag handle right.
 
Awesome blade on that khukuri. I definitely need one of those as a bedtime campanion ;)
