I for one would be interested. I believe this steel is already being used in some nice kitchen knives no? Would anyone else be interested in a nice Spyderco kitchen knife with a laminated hap40 blade?

It doesn't get much easier to sharpen and touch up than HAP40. Plus it will hold an edge a lot longer than MBS26. Not bashing what they use, but a hard heat treat does not exclusively equal hard to sharpen.Why use that steel? The high hardness? If you share your kitchen with other people, you generally want a steel that holds an edge but is relatively easy to sharpen. I like the MBS26 they use now.
