This may have been brought up before but do you think CR would ever use Talonite as blade material on a Sebenza? I'm not knocking what is being used now, I have a small sebenza with BG 42 and I think S30v is great too. Just thinking of a variation for my favorite folder.

No. The non magnetic property of the Talonite would not allow it to be used in the device that shapes the blade. Chris has been asked about this and said that talonite won't happen on his knives. End of story.

That's an interesting fact Scott Dog, thanks. Ya learn something new everyday!:D

I'd love to see a Dendretic Cobalt blade from David Boye on a Sebenza, that Cobalt blade,...it just cuts and cuts and cuts and cuts, weird stuff! but the one folder I have from David makes the other blades look silly when you try to saw cut through material, it truly has microserrations within the blade, something people should experience! :)

Don't get me wrong, Sebenza's cut like crazy as well, mainly in the Push cutting portion, but cutting is cutting not push cutting and there the Dendretic structure takes a leap...

I agree, the tolerances required for a quality fit will require very expensive machinery that 99% of the custom hand made artists would not have.

I sold off four very expensive customs which did not lock up or fit like the Sebenza knives. One is selling for 4-5 times the price of a plain Sebenza and the blade rubs on the liner consistently. The design is very poor however, the makers "name" is written in the knife magazines constantly which inflates the image of quality.

FK
