What about a Ti Para-Military?

That would be a great idea. I was thinking about one side being titanium and the other being g-10. Kinda like the leafstorm or the chokwe.

I love the para-military I just received, but was thinking it was too plain just black G10... Ti would be very cool. Were you thinking compression lock like the ATR where it's more like a frame lock, or the same liner style?

I think, especially if it's not plain a Ti para would be GREAT. Something with some style and perhaps work-knife elegance. Rather than just a plain scale IMO.

Sprint run! All Ti or G10 and Ti. Sounds like a classic already.

No interest. Give me G-10 any day.
I do tolerate the Ti on my Leafie. :D

I would buy a Ti PARA with RIL, and think many others would as well.

The reg Millie may be a bit heavy for me in Ti, but a PARA would be just right IMO.

I really think this para2 is gonna have something special :) Sal hears us and I'm sure this one's gonna be perfect! But its hard to improve on the almighty para.

Only thing that could improve it would be a tip up clip option and a new clip design that would make the knife sit lower when clipped to a pocket. And maybe find a way to get the tang to fit into the handle when the knife is closed which would make it carry better, but that would only be possible if they did away with the compression lock. ;)

G-10 has better tactile grip and better thermal properties (takes less time to warm-up to your hand). I can't think of why titanium would make a better handle material? It's more expensive for less function.

I love titanium, but it seems better suited to replace stainless steel parts rather than laminate handle slabs. A half G-10/half Ti [ala Strider] concept sounds good, but the lock on the Paramilitary is on the wrong side. :)

As far as the tang, I could care less. All knives I carry go to my back right pocket. I don't EDC any knives in my front pockets. So its not too much an issue for me. A clip that is less visible would be a plus for me tho. I would really like to see some s90v steel or possibly some M4. That would be great.

Yep, that tang sticking out, and the clip for tip down is the only two things that keep me from EDC'ing my PARA.
If those two things are changed it would be my EDC knife, no matter if Ti or G-10.
Hopefully those are the two things he will change, and I won't miss the compression lock at all. Much prefer frame or liner lock.

I just want a new para period. Ti would be great, orange g-10 would be really great and carbon fiber would be just ok. YMMV

Agreed. Very cool, but I don't think its entirely practical. Titanium on a framelock? Yes, 100%. Replacing the G10 scales on any other lock? Not so good.
