What happened ? Very little heard or seen on these great knives lately. They are not just a flash in the pan are they ? Or is it since they are not represented here now, there is just not much talk. I bought one (MPC) and love it, but put it up because I expect them to be hard to find someday. I could be wrong on this, but I can't see them not becoming very collectable someday. Whats your take on this ?
Robbie Roberson :)

Robbie, since Frank no longer represents ER, and that forum's been shut down, there's not much else to say. The clubhouse has been closed, so to speak. There were a few comments about the new ER offerings, but with no one leading the discussion, it died out.

Add to that Frank's problems bringing his new line online, and some troll bashing the ER USA operation after it closed, and the whole situation is probably best left to lie in peace.

I can´t speak for the political side of things, but the knives are great and inspire trust in thre user.
I bought a small Sharpnell fixedblade. Despite it´s comparative short handle, it is very alive in the hand and a clever thought out martial bladecraft item. Will get an MPC next and a Col. Moshin.

The shrapnel appeals to me more than thier other models. I wish there was a local dealer where I could inspect one.

It is the newest one as far as fixed blades isnt it?

Talking about Shrapnel - some photos:

We have tried a couple of times to start a passaround, but never got enough interest to make it a reality. The Shrapnel is pretty cool.

y'know for them probably (I dunno fer sure) marketing this as a martial arts knife.....it sure looks good for utility purposes. Good blade profile for all sorts of cutting, as opposed to thier usual geometrically ground tanto style offerings.

Skinwalker , I don´t know whether ER markets the Sharpnell as Martial Arts knife. But i think it is definitely a good defensiv knife. When I saw it in the store it looked like the handle was too small for my hands. But when I played with it it really came alive in my hands. My old Peketi Tirsia drills were reanimated..
had to buy it.

Very good answers, at least I know I am not by myself when it comes to the ER line. I love that little knife and some very good pics.......can you imagine what a folder would look like using the same blade design and basic handle shape ? I wonder why someone that sells these knives does not come on here and talk about them ?
Robbie Roberson :)

Cause they no longer have a spokesman in the US and they are an Italian company out of the loop here in the good old USA.

OOHHFAAA!!

That certainly looks like it would make a great utility blade. Not to mention a nice handy fighter that dosent scream FIGHTER!! BAD BLADE, BAD BLADE!! :D

Outstanding photos Marekhr.

aslo just noticed (correct me if I am wrong) but the kydex sheath utilizes the depression in the handle to secure the knife, which is kinda nice.

I always liked the ER knives and liked Frank. I still like ER knives even without Frank distributing them.

The sheaths are well done. The one you see there is fully ambi. All the ER knives are. That's a thoughful design. This is the first one I have seen with teklock. Fashioning a small kydex extension should allow for loop IWB carry of this piece. The ER knives I have used were all very tough. They can take abuse. It's just how does the warranty work with an overseas company is what I wonder about. I also wonder whether the Italian based company showed up at Blade?

From that picture (which by the way is very well taken), that one looks like a monster of a knive. :)

Not to be a fly in the ointment, but isn't that hole on the guard a Busse patent?

Looks like a cool knife regardless.

Due to blade length (4,3 inch) Shrapnel is rather EDC than fighter.
