No review, no discussion, and worse, no pics... :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy:

I was looking forward to some pictures.I'm sure somebody must have taken some.

I was at the show for a few hours Saturday afternoon. It was a nice show but not as big as I would have expected.

I didn't have a camera with me to take pictures as I just happened to be in Vegas on business, but I did have the opportunity to talk to a lot of great makers and see some work in person that I had only drooled over previously in pictures.

I also ran into a couple of forumites and finally got to meet Larry from Bladeart in person, after years of buying/selling with him it was nice to put a face with the emails.

I posted a thread with the two knives I purchased HERE.

The show was great! The only thing that sucked was because it was a gun show too they searched people's bags going in and out and tagged knives you brought in. You had to have a receipt for a knife without a tag on the way out.
Got to visit with alot of friends I dont see often and handle some great knives. Tom Selleck walked beside me on friday on his way to the gun show and I met the guy who writes the stories for King of the Hill. Shows for me are always about the people and friends, I can buy knives anywhere.
I bought 5 knives but the highlight for me was finding this old, fairly rare Carson.

There were some major changes to the Vegas Show. One change was adding 100 tables bringing the total to 220 tables. This is almost double the size of the past 6 shows I have done in Vegas.

Nice find Dave. That is one one of my favorite Carson designs.

I'd love to see some photos of what was on display at this show, and since it was Vegas, some photos of strippers would be OK as well. I know, this isn't Whine & Cheese.

BTW, many may not have heard but forum member Hoss from Hawaii died at the show, was found in his room. It is suspected that it was caused by a reaction from alcohol and meds he was taking. Very sad.

Hoss was a good kid.Talked knives with him many times.Traded a few and became good internet buds. Got a package from him one time(he knew I liked the Stones) with some origional music from the early Stones.Framed and all.It is one of my treasures.
Left 3 boys and a wife.
Way too young.
I will think of him often.

That's sad news, Hoss was good people.

My reference is ECCKS and the Ohio show (the only other shows I've been to), I think this one falls somewhere in between, closer to ECCKS.

I thought it was bigger than the NYC show, no compaints, just not what I expected.
